- Recognise familiar words and phrases about yourself, your family and daily routines
- Catch numbers, prices, times and dates
- Hear the difference between similar short words, such as he's and his
- Follow simple questions and answers
- Spell common words you hear
- Time Estimate
- About 90–100 hours of guided learning from zero (Cambridge English estimate)
- Skills You'll Master
- Understand slow, clear speech about very familiar topics and simple questions
- Next Level
- A2 lessons are longer and cover shopping, work and directions
What is A1 Level?
A1 is the first level of the CEFR. You can understand and use very simple, familiar expressions, introduce yourself and answer basic questions about where you live and what you have, as long as the other person speaks slowly and clearly and is ready to help.
