Past simple และ past continuous: ใช้อย่างไร
Past continuous (was/were + -ing) ใช้กับการกระทำที่กำลังดำเนินอยู่ ณ ช่วงเวลาหนึ่งในอดีต เช่น At 8 pm I was cooking เมื่อใช้คู่กับ past simple จะแสดงการกระทำที่สั้นกว่ามาแทรก เช่น I was cooking when the phone rang ส่วน past simple อย่างเดียวใช้เล่าเหตุการณ์ที่จบแล้วตามลำดับ เช่น I cooked, ate and went to bed
