Artigos a, an, the: como funciona
O inglês tem o artigo indefinido a/an e o definido the. A/an vai com um substantivo contável no singular mencionado pela primeira vez ou que é um entre muitos (a dog, an hour). The é usado quando o ouvinte sabe de qual se fala (the dog next door). Para ideias gerais no plural ou incontáveis, não se usa artigo: Dogs are loyal.
