分詞構文：使い方
分詞構文は、完全な節の代わりに -ing 形や過去分詞を使って文を短くします。-ing 形は能動的で、多くは同時に起きる動作を表し（Walking home, I met Tom）、過去分詞は受け身の意味を表し（Built in 1900, the house needs repairs）、having + 過去分詞はそれより前の動作を表します（Having finished, she left）。

よくある間違い
誤:
Walking to the station, the rain started.正: Walking to the station, I got caught in the rain.
主語が動作をする人でなければならない。
誤:
Wrote in 1850, the novel is still popular.正: Written in 1850, the novel is still popular.
受け身の意味には過去分詞。
誤:
Having finish my work, I went home.正: Having finished my work, I went home.
having + 過去分詞。
誤:
The man spoke to my father is a doctor.正: The man speaking to my father is a doctor.
能動の意味には -ing 形。
