과거시제와 과거진행형: 사용법
과거진행형(was/were + -ing)은 과거 어느 시점에 진행 중이던 행동을 나타냅니다: At 8 pm I was cooking. 과거시제와 함께 쓰면 그 도중에 끼어든 짧은 일을 나타냅니다: I was cooking when the phone rang. 과거시제만 쓰면 끝난 일들을 순서대로 말합니다: I cooked, ate and went to bed.
