Il discorso indiretto: come funziona
Il discorso indiretto riferisce le parole di qualcuno senza citarle alla lettera. Dopo un verbo introduttivo al passato, il tempo di solito arretra di un passo: "I'm tired" diventa She said she was tired. Cambiano anche i pronomi e le espressioni di tempo e luogo, e le domande indirette usano l'ordine della frase affermativa: He asked where I lived.
