Les articles a, an, the : comment ça marche
L'anglais a l'article indéfini a/an et l'article défini the. A/an s'utilise devant un nom dénombrable singulier cité pour la première fois ou désignant un élément parmi d'autres (a dog, an hour). The s'utilise quand l'interlocuteur sait de quoi on parle (the dog next door). Pas d'article pour les généralités au pluriel ou indénombrables : Dogs are loyal.
