Los artículos a, an, the: cómo funciona

El inglés tiene el artículo indeterminado a/an y el determinado the. A/an va con un sustantivo contable en singular que se menciona por primera vez o que es uno entre muchos (a dog, an hour). The se usa cuando el oyente sabe de cuál se habla (the dog next door). Para ideas generales en plural o incontables no se usa artículo: Dogs are loyal.
