There is و there are: كيف يُستخدم

تُستخدم there is مع الاسم المفرد وغير المعدود، وthere are مع الاسم الجمع، للقول إن شيئًا موجود أو في مكان ما: There's a park near my house. There are two banks on this street. في السؤال نقدّم is أو are (Is there a lift?)، وفي النفي نستخدم any: There aren't any chairs.
