الماضي البسيط (Past simple): كيف يُستخدم

يصف الماضي البسيط أفعالًا وحالات انتهت في وقت محدد من الماضي: I visited my grandparents last weekend. الأفعال المنتظمة تأخذ -ed (work, worked)، وكثير من الأفعال الشائعة شاذة (go, went; see, saw). ويُكوَّن السؤال والنفي بـ did + المصدر: Did you call? I didn't call.
