  • This is me in Rio de Janeiro with my friend Claudia. She lives in Brazil, but she’s from Spain. She’s a lovely person – very warm and kind.

  • In this photo I’m in St Petersburg with my cousin Oleg. He’s Russian, but I’m from England – his father and my mother are brother and sister. He’s a really pleasant guy and he’s a brilliant doctor. He’s well-known in his part of St Petersburg.

  • I’m Kate Marks. I’m from Wigan. It’s a small town near Manchester in England. I live in London and I’m a teacher at International College. I’m married and I have two small children, a boy and a girl.

  • I’m Carla Dimambro. I’m Italian, I’m from Genoa, but I study marketing at the University of Milan. It’s my first time in London and I’m very happy to be here. Are other people new to London?

  • Thanks for your letter. It’s really interesting for me to hear about your life in Russia.

    Here is a photo of my family. It’s quite a new photo, so you can see what we all look like. As you can see, I have dark hair because I’m half Mexican – my mum comes from Mexico.
  • 2)
    My dad’s quite quiet, but he’s very kind and he often helps me with my school work. He’s British – that’s why we live here, but every summer we visit my mum’s family in Mexico. Her parents aren’t rich, but they have a lovely house near the beach. I love it!
  • 3)
    You can see my sister next to me. She has lots of friends – she’s very popular. She’s also a brilliant tennis player. In fact, she isn’t at home very often because she plays so much!

    At the front of the photo you can see two other important members of our family. They’re very old and they aren’t very clean, but I love them – they’re my dogs, Benny and Jerry!
