Typ 0 drückt allgemeine Wahrheiten aus (If you heat ice, it melts), Typ 1 reale Möglichkeiten in der Zukunft (If it rains, we'll stay in), Typ 2 unwirkliche Situationen in der Gegenwart (If I had time, I'd travel) und Typ 3 eine unwirkliche Vergangenheit (If I'd known, I'd have come).
